MARIANO MARCOS STATE U APPLIES FOUR-DAY WORK SCHEME FOR EMPLOYEES

/ 26 June 2022

THE MARIANO Marcos State University will start its four-day work scheme on June 27 as per the directive of the Civil Service Commission.

Memorandum No. 22-217 issued by MMSU President Shirley C. Agrupis lays forth the implementing guidelines for the university’s flexible work policies.

The employees will have to work from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. four days to complete the 40-hour work every week.

“Employees in various offices across university campuses will also follow the four-day work scheme. To achieve full operation from Monday to Friday, there will be work shift arrangements,” the university said.

However, the four-day workweek will not be applied to the faculty and staff of Graduate School, College of Law, College of Medicine, and personnel of security, medical, and general services units of the university.

“These rules shall apply for the duration of the validity of CSC Resolution No. 2200209, unless sooner revoked,” the university memo added

The CSC’s flexible working policy was promulgated last May 18 and took effect on June 15.

It seeks to institutionalize flexible work arrangements as part of the nationwide effort to transition from a state of public health emergency to the new normal.
