MAPUA WELCOMES FRESHMEN WITH ‘TIKTOK CHALLENGE’

/ 14 August 2020

A TIKTOK  challenge to welcome freshmen students?

Mapua University is reportedly doing a gimmick as part of its reception to new students of the school for the academic year 2020-2021.

The university made the announcement on its official Facebook page.

TikTok is a social media platform wherein people can share their talent in dancing or any other artistic expressions.

The China-based App was recently banned by United States President Donald Trump, citing security reasons. India also did a similar ban in response to its border dispute with China.

Mapua has reportedly introduced the challenge for its #FroSHSies event in which the school prepared a four-day online activity along with student orientation and opening ceremony.

#FroSHSies will run from August 17-21.

Classes at the Mapua will start on August 21 until October 31 for its first term with the use of  full online classes after it scrapped plans to hold blended classes (partly face-to-face and partly online) as the National Capital Region reverted back to Modified Enhanced Community Quarantine.
