MAPUA STUDENTS WARNED VS SHARING PERSONAL INFO

/ 2 October 2020

THE MAPUA  University has warned its students against individuals posing as university employees and asking for sensitive personal information and account details through social media.

In an advisory posted on Facebook, Mapua advised those who receive such messages to ignore it.

“If you have received an email, text, or any form of message from unofficial or suspicious accounts asking for personal or other information, DON’T respond. Mapúa will NEVER ask for your personal information through unofficial social media and email accounts,” the school said.

It also urged Mapúans to be extra careful and vigilant online.

Meanwhile, concerned citizens urged Mapua to have its Facebook page verified by Facebook to seal its legitimacy online.

Flexible classes in Mapua started on August 21, 2020.
