LPU DAVAO HOLDS ANNUAL EDUCATORS’ CONFERENCE
THE LYCEUM of the Philippines-Davao will hold its annual Educators’ Conference on January 23.
The event will be held virtually but the university gave assurances that it will be filled with “gold mine for innovations and new ideas.”
This year’s theme is “Cultivating Excellence, Building on Strength.” This year’s edition will be the biggest.
“The conference will delve more deeply into the discussion of the status quo particularly flexible online learning and the alternative operation models during and after the pandemic,” the school said.
EdCon, which was first held in 2018, gathers the best of the educators of Mindanao and helps bridge the gap in learning.
This year’s resource persons include Education Undersecretary Annalyn Sevilla and Vice President for Academic Affairs of LPU Laguna Dr. Lerma Calingasan.
“In the Educators’ Conference, participants will obtain a better understanding of alternative operating models that schools may adapt as well as improvements in the delivery of instruction now that classes are being conducted online,” Dr. Felipe G. Balingit Jr., vice president and chief academic officer of LPU-Davao, said.
Balingit said that the event is open to educators residing outside Mindanao.
He added that LPU-Davao expects more participants this year as the event will be conducted online.
“Educators will really benefit from this event. Even in the comfort of our homes, nothing beats the feeling of being able to learn new ideas. And in this event, our participants can expect a productive conference filled with fun and wisdom from our resource persons,” he said.
