LEYTE NORMAL U STUDENT SHARES STRUGGLES IN ONLINE CLASS
A STUDENT of the Leyte Normal University expressed her frustration on distance learning that arose from slow Internet connection.
Catherine Candare, a third year student taking up Physical Education, said she was not able to present her report in class because of poor connectivity.
“I was all set for our final presentation. I was simply waiting for our group to present but then quick changes happened. I wasn’t able to download the other files being assigned to me (for the quick change of presentation) due to my unstable internet connection,” Candare shared.
She shared that a member of their group was not able to attend thus their leader came up with a new plan.
“By group po kasi ‘yun. Then it happened na meron hindi naka-attend so our leader instructed a new plan. Eh sobrang bagal ng internet ko that time kaya natagalan bago ko ma-receive ‘yung message,” she said.
“Ang part sana na ni-ready ko hindi na na-present kasi iba na lang ang nag-present. Nag-message ako na hindi ko na makakakaya mag-iba ng part kasi mabagal talaga net ko,” she add.
Candare said that she works on her assignments at night because Internet connection is faster.
