LEARNING MECHANISMS IN PLACE FOR ALL DAVAO CITY STUDENTS
THE PAARALANG Sentral ng Kapitan Tomas Monteverde Sr-SPED Center of Davao City has developed various mechanisms so that no child would be left behind once classes formally resume.
The school, composed of 140 teachers and 4,484 students, developed mechanisms such as KapT.eFILES and KapT.PRINTS and Delivery.
“Ibig naming mabawasan ang bilang ng mga magulang na daragsa sa paaralan sa pagkuha ng self-learning kits na naglalaman ng printed learning materials, CD o USB,” said school principal Elena N. Meralles.
“Nakipag-usap kami sa mga barangay upang makipagtulungan sa amin sa paghatid ng SLKs.”
In the KapT.PRINTS and Delivery, the school’s riders will deliver self-learning kits to the barangays, and if parents can’t go to the barangay, the materials can be delivered directly to their residence.
Led by chairman Rogelio Nocom, Barangay 4A designated a place for proper distribution of the self-learning kits. Since the start of enrollment, it assisted in receiving enrollment and survey forms using the school kiosk.
Contents of the self-learning kits were taken from the KapT.eFILES where all learning resources from SPED classes to Grade 6 were collectively gathered from the Learning Resource System, DepEd Commons, and learning materials made by teachers.
Currently, the school is preparing for the distribution of self-learning kits to strictly enforce health protocols.
