LANDY NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS TO JOIN SCIENCE COMPETITION IN AUSTRIA
GRADE 12 students of Landy National High School in Sta. Cruz, Marinduque will join the Nuclear Science and Technology Virtual Competition in Vienna, Austria.
Alia Daniela Riego and Angelo Gatdula qualified for the preliminary round in their presentation about the effects of plastic pollution.
Their coach Perry Angelo Manlapaz is confident that the two can well present their study to the panelists.
The international contest aims to promote the use of students’ creative thinking to present how they see the role of Nuclear Science and Technology in achieving the UN Sustainable Development Goals to combat global plastic pollution.
Gatdula encouraged students to take STEM strand.
“Dito sa science, we explore to feed our curiosity and yung benefits na nakukuha natin ngayon ay dahil sa mga scientists na nag-explore na before kung kaya mahalagang pag-aralan ito,” he said.
