LA SALLE DASMARIÑAS HS INSTALLS FACULTY LEARNING STUDIO
THE DE LA SALLE University-Dasmariñas High School department has created a Faculty Learning Studio where teachers can prepare their online lessons safely.
DLSU-D HS Principal Dr. Mario Torres said that the studio is segmented into four breakout spaces where teachers can work on their demonstration lessons, collaboration, and other focused activities to augment online teaching.
Each breakout space is equipped with two iMac computer units with internet connection, mirrorless camera, ring light, tripod for camera or cell phone, condenser microphone and high intensity web cameras.
“The learning studio has been created for high school teachers to support the innovative, flexible, and collaborative learning paradigm required by the ANIMO Strategy,” Torres said.
The high school department is using the ‘ANIMO Strategy’ program as an alternative mode of learning amid the pandemic.
ANIMO, or Alternative Instruction with Mastery Class Options, combines blended learning modality with the online class primarily allotted for the teacher-student interactions, and the mastery class options which humanize the students’ virtual learning experience through a support mechanism that goes beyond academic requirements, the department said.
