LA SALLE-ARANETA TO SUSPEND SCHOLARSHIP GRANTS
THE DE LA SALLE-Araneta University announced that it will not give scholarship grants for Academic Year 2021-2022 for financial reasons.
THE DE LA SALLE-Araneta University announced that it will not give scholarship grants for Academic Year 2021-2022 for financial reasons.
The Student Financial Assistance and Scholarship Office, in a letter to Lasallianetan scholars and parents sent earlier this week, said that “the University is not spared from the effects of the lingering pandemic” and it experiences financial “difficulties in providing for pre-pandemic budgets[,] such as scholarships.”
TINIG, the official student publication of DLSAU, said the move is “disheartening” as it will affect hundreds of students.
“De La Salle Araneta University is known to be a sanctuary for hundreds of scholars — including academic achievers, student assistants, student leaders, athletes, and the agriculture students from Salikneta, Bulacan,” it said.
“The sudden announcement is a disheartening heads-up to the said scholars, as well as to those students and parents who are planning to apply next school year,” it added.
Previously, the University of the East also said it will not grant scholarships to first-time scholars this academic year.
