KALINGA STATE U TO REIMBURSE INTERNET EXPENSES OF TEACHERS
THE KALINGA State University will reimburse the internet expenses of its faculty this year.
Each of the 216 faculty members will start receiving P1,000 monthly internet allowance following the approval of a resolution by its Board of Regents.
“A total amount of P2,592,000 charged to the Regular Agency Fund of FY 2021 is estimated to cover the expenses to be incurred subject to accounting and auditing rules and regulations,” the university said on Facebook.
The reimbursement is part of the school’s plan to help instructors in the implementation of distance learning.
“The reimbursement of internet expenses is among the schemes initiated by the university to assist the faculty in the conduct of their online classes amidst the challenges posed by this unpredictable and rapidly evolving Covid19 pandemic,” it said.
KSU President Eduardo Bagtang said that the university has released the one-month refund of the internet allowance of teachers for 2020.
