KALINGA STATE U EARNS RIGHT AS FIRST IN CORDILLERA TO GAIN ETEEAP RECOGNITION

/ 16 January 2024

THE Kalinga State University became the first in the Cordillera Region to be deputized for the Expanded Tertiary Education, Equivalency, and Accreditation Program or ETEEAP.

The tertiary level program accredits and gives equivalencies to knowledge, skills, attitudes, and values gained by individuals from relevant work, the Commission on Higher Education said.

“It is implemented through deputized higher education institutions that shall award the appropriate college degree,” CHED said.

CHED Cordillera Education Program Supervisor Dr. Patricio Dinamling relayed the information to KSU regarding the approval of the ETEEAP offering, according to the university.

The first courses to be approved under the ETEEAP program is BA History and BA Political Science, as per CHED’s Resolution No. 730-2023, with KSU’s Dagupan campus as the first one to offer the program.

KSU said working professionals, non-traditional students, and individuals with significant life experience may avail the program.
