KABANKALAN COLLEGE DEAN SUCCUMBS TO COVID19
A DEAN of the Central Philippine State University in Kabankalan City died of Covid19 complications, the city’s information office said.
Kabankalan City Information officer Jake Gonzales said that Dr. Lorina Baylon Crobes, dean of the College of Arts and Sciences, died on Tuesday.
The CPSU main campus in Barangay Camingawan was temporarily closed for disinfection.
Two other government officials also died of the disease.
Dr. Gladys Patindol of the Kabankalan District Hospital in Barangay Tabugon passed away on Monday.
In October, Dr. John Vic Caagbay of the Lorenzo D. Zayco District Hospital also died, according to Gonzales.
Kabankalan Mayor Pedro Zayco Jr. said that the local government will intensify its vaccination drive.
“The role of the barangay officials is important as we try to reach herd immunity,” the mayor said.
