THE ISABELA State University added a feather to its cap by bagging the “Proficiency in Quality Management.”

It received the award during the 24th Philippine Quality Award Assessment Cycle.

PQA is given to government and private institutions or organizations for their outstanding performance in leadership, strategic planning, customer focus, measurement, analysis, and knowledge management.

The award presented to ISU was said to be the equivalent of the United States’ Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Program.

ISU President Dr. Ricmar Aquino said that the institution will continue to encourage academic excellence in the countryside by adhering to national and international quality standards in education and management.

“PQA sets forth the foundation for ISU’s Way Forward on Smart Education and Governance, propelling ISU to meet the parameters for a model university meeting international standards of quality education and management,” Aquino said.
