INCLEMENT WEATHER FORCES BICOL U TO DEFER ENTRANCE EXAM
THE ENTRANCE examination for Bicol University College of Agriculture and Forestry was deferred by the school due to inclement weather on Saturday.
The move came about after the Office of the Governor of Albay issued an order to suspend classes due to the effects of the low-pressure area in the eastern seaboard.
The presence of an Inter Tropical Convergence Zone is expected to bring moderate to heavy rains which can cause landslides, flooding, and river swelling.
BU said in compliance with the announcement, the second batch of exam was suspended and will be rescheduled.
Classes are also suspended at all levels until the provincial government issues a lifting order.
Several exam takers were disappointed with the announcement, noting they’re already at the venue and awaiting their exams before the suspension was issued.
“Sayang po nung 200+ na nagastos namin, tapos mag-sususpend kung kailan mahina na ‘yung ulan, hindi naman po kami mayaman para magpabalik-balik,” one examinee said.
