/ 20 July 2022

THE IFUGAO State University said it will continue training Indigenous Knowledge Educators for another three years.

IFSU made the announcement after it forged a partnership with the Department of Education -Ifugao Division and the non-government agency Save the Ifugao Terraces Movement to help teacher-trainees with IK instruction.

The university said that it will continue to develop contextualized learning modules to build up core IK educators at the academic and community level.

It further said that the partnership is an offshoot of its commitment with the  National Chengchi University of Taiwan for the Ifugao Indigenous Knowledge Educators Training Program.

This is under the Center for Taiwan-Philippines Indigenous and Local Knowledge and Sustainable Studies of IFSU which aims to continue building Indigenous Knowledge, Systems and Practices.

The IFSU College of Education-Potia campus also partnered with DepEd Ifugao on research writing to help teachers.
