IFUGAO STATE U GETS BUDGET TO PUBLISH INDIGENOUS BOOKS

THE IFUGAO State University has been allocated a budget for the publishing of books about indigenous knowledge.
The allotment was included in the General Appropriations Act of 2023.
The university was allotted P2 million for the publication of the books.
IFSU published two books in 2021 — Ifugao Indigenous Knowledge Systems and Practices and Inabol: Traditional and Contemporary Ifugao Textiles.
These books aimed to preserve Ifugao culture.
The school was also given P1.3 million for its scholarship program dubbed “Tulong Dunong.”
