IFUGAO STATE U, DOST-PCARRD HOLD COMMUNITY PANTRY

THE IFUGAO State University and the Philippine Council for Agriculture, Aquatic and Natural Resources Research and Development opened a community pantry in Lagawe, Ifugao for farmers.

At least 150 families benefitted from the the pantry which offered IEC materials and vegetable seed packs, among others.

The initiative is part of the “Lingkod Alalay sa Pamayanan” whose funding came from the Project Harnessing Agriculture to Achieve a Bountiful Ifugao being implemented by IFSU.

The project had an initial funding of P1.8 million which aims to improve the social and economic welfare of farming households in the province.

IFSU earlier distributed candy-making equipment to its trainees on herbal candy production.
