THE MAKATI-based school iACADEMY is gearing for this year’s Student Orientation and Registration (SOAR) event which will welcome incoming students for the first semester of academic year 2020-2021.

Unlike previous SOAR events, this year’s orientation activity will be held virtually.

This year’s “iACADEMY SOAR 2020: Emergence” promises to be fun-filled and will host online group games  as well as a concert featuring local bands and student performers.

iACADEMY will orient students on flexible online learning through a discussion module via Coursebank from August 10 to August 24.

To boost camaraderie among the students, iACADEMY will  host interactive online games on August 22 wherein participants will be grouped and will compete for special prizes.

The online concert will be the culminating event. It will feature student performers and special bands including Plus 2, One Click Straight, Nathan and Mercury and Mayonnaise.

“SOAR is one of the highly-anticipated events in our school, and we want to make it as memorable as in previous years. This year, despite what we’ve all been through due to this pandemic, our students deserve to be welcomed in a different and exciting way,” said Vanessa Tanco, president and CEO of iACADEMY.

“It’s been our game-changing tradition and this time, we will make sure that our students will still feel the warmth and welcoming environment of iACADEMY virtually even at the comfort of their homes,” Tanco added.
