IACADEMY PROFESSOR ELECTED AT NATIONAL COMMITTEE ON CINEMA
IACADEMY Professor Gerard Paul Elviña was elected as Executive Council Member of the National Committee on Cinema.
NCCinema is one of 19 national committees under the National Center for Culture and the Arts tasked to enrich, preserve and cultivate Philippine Cinema.
Elviña represents the mainstream sector.
“It is a privilege to be elected as an Executive Council Member under a national committee. Furthermore, I am excited to take part in shaping the future creatives in cinema, and providing my experience as an educator and professional in doing so,” Elviña said.
“As an educator in an institution profound in the arts, I am truly honored to represent fellow Filipino creatives,” he added.
Elviña is a seasoned audio professional and resident faculty member of iACADEMY. He, along with 50 other industry professionals, educate and train Filipino creatives through the AB Film and Visual Effects program.
He recently made headlines after being named the first Filipino to join the prestigious Audio Engineering Society Standards Committee, a circle of audio professionals around the globe that promotes advancement in professional audio technology through published technical standards, reports and studies.
