THE MARINDUQUE State College has partnered with Huawei Technologies Philippines to develop an Information and Communications Technology Academy.

MSC announced on Tuesday that Huawei will provide training and certification for faculty members and students of its School of Information and Computing Sciences.

They will be trained on cloud service, cloud computing, and data communication among others.

First to be trained will be the faculty members so that they can become Huawei Certified Academy Instructors.

“As part of their Corporate Social Responsibility, Huawei Technologies Philippines, Inc. has recently awarded MSC’s School of Information and Computing Sciences (SICS), headed by Dean Maria Nessa M. Solomon, the authority to be a Huawei ICT Academy,” MSC said on Facebook.

“In its continuing efforts at becoming a [world-class] IT/ IS education provider, MSC’s SICS is constantly looking for opportunities for growth such as this, as it expands its reach to the greater Asia Pacific region through the UMAP international exchange program,” it added.
