AN APPLIANCE company has given 45 deserving junior high school students in Mambugan High School tablets for their online classes.

Haier Appliances Philippines’ tablets were given to high-performing students from poor families.

The donation is part of the company’s outreach program.

Company President and CEO Yan Xuhong said that children have been hard hit by the pandemic and they believe that the tablets will help them.

“The pandemic hit every Filipino family including the way the children learn. With this, we believe that providing tablet devices can help students to have their online classes,” she said.

“Haier believes that helping students to continue their education will help our economy in the long run,” she added.
