THE UNIVERSITY of the East clarified that the decision to stop accepting new enrollees for the four programs of its College of Arts and Sciences is only temporary.

These are Mathematics, Library and Information Science, Journalism, and English.

According to the CAS Student Council, Dean Justina Evangelista had said that these programs may be offered next year.

Evangelista earlier said that low enrollment compelled the school to halt accepting new enrollees.

She gave assurances that students enrolled in these four programs will be allowed to finish their degrees.

In May, the university closed its Electronics Engineering program effective at the end of the second semester of Academic Year 2020-2021.
