FEU STUDENTS WIN IN SIGLOKALIKASAN COOK OFF CHALLENGE
STUDENTS from the Far Eastern University won the top prize in the Hapag-Ani Cook Off Challenge held at SigloKalikasan Farm earlier this month.
The team composed of BS in Hotel and Restaurant Management students Joseph Rafael Lumboy, Ivan Gabrielle Babilonia, Natalie Cayra Mejia and Aira Rocel Dimalig bested other participants.
They were recognized for their “exemplary culinary skills, creativity and teamwork.”
Their winning dishes were Tinilok (herb spiced chicken soup with mustard and lemon grass), Dumplok (steamed farm spiced chicken wrapped in Chicken skin), and Sisiglok (sauted chicken with celery mustard and string beans).
The students were guided by faculty members Chef Racky Alvarez Masa and Dr. Mark De Luna Alvero.
In celebration of the Siglo ‘23 Festival, the competition required the use of hyperlocal ingredients found in the farm and several mystery items.
