FEU STUDENT WINS IN ARCHITECT OUTSTANDING THESIS TILT

AN ARCHITECTURE student from the Far Eastern University placed third in the Metro Architects Xcellence Outstanding Thesis Competition.

Maisie Suyat was recognized for her thesis “Banyuhay Centering Underprivileged Neighborhood Through Productive Architecture: A Proposed Self-sufficient Vertical Community in Baseco, Manila.”

The competition aims to showcase the best of Philippine architecture students and their respective colleges of architecture, as well as provide immediate opportunities for enrichment and mentorship to these students.

It is open to graduating students. Each invited college of architecture may select one student representative with the best thesis.

Adamson University, Batangas State University, Far Eastern University, Mapua University, National College of Science and Technology, National University, Polytechnic University of the Philippines, University of Batangas, University of Perpetual Help System Dalta, and University of Santo Tomas participated in the competition.

The judges were Architects Jose Siao Ling, Daniel Go, Edward Co Tan, Miguel Ocampo-Tan and Nixon-Tan Lim.
