FEU PARTNERS WITH CROATIAN UNIVERSITY
THE FAR Eastern University signed a partnership agreement with the University of Zagreb in Croatia, the first academic institution in the Philippines to do so.
It was made possible with the help of Dr. Rosalind Wee, president of W Group Inc. and an esteemed FEU alumna.
A memorandum of understanding was signed last month in the presence of Croatia’s Ambassador to the Philippines Nebojsa Koharovic and UZ Vice Dean for Student Affairs Dr. Dana Lusa.
“The first partnership with the University of Zagreb is an adjunct faculty program with Dr. Robert Mikac from the Department of Political Science, IAS,” FEU said.
“This alliance will open opportunities for faculty and staff exchange, joint programs such as study, research, and conferences. Scientific, educational, and cultural programs, as well as academic activity promotion and integrated cultural programs will be also explored,” it added.
Representatives of Croatia and the UZ who attended the event were Dr. Ivan Velimir Starcevic, Croatia’s Ambassador to Malaysia, Full Professor Lidija Kos-Stanišić, Associate Prof. Ružica Jakešević, Associate Prof. Hrvoje Jakopović, Associate Prof., Robert Mikac and Assistant Prof. Borna Zgurić.
