THE FAR Eastern University has partnered with the Bay River College in Canada for an international internship program.

A Memorandum of Agreement was signed last month by officials of the two institutions.

The international internship program, which will be offered to fourth year Institute of Tourism and Hotel Management students, will run for five months.

Under the agreement, participants will have an opportunity to earn a diploma with 12 certificates from the American Hotel & Lodging Educational Institute and an associate degree in Hospitality Business Management from Bay River College.

Last September, the ITHM also partnered with the Department of Tourism and the Laguna Tourism, Culture Arts and Trade Office for internship programs.

The collaboration aims to train the students on how to apply the theories they learned in school to real-life situations.
