FAR Eastern University emerged as the Best Campus Hour School in the 12th Veritas 446 Campus Hour Awards, securing one of the most coveted honors in the long-running media competition.
The university also brought home key individual and production accolades. Broadcast Communication (BACOMM) student Dani Dayao won Best Female Anchor, while the FEU team received the award for Best Program Teaser Plug.
Dayao said the recognition mirrors her personal and professional growth, crediting her mentors and colleagues for shaping her path in campus broadcasting.
Her co-anchor, Jed Laudencia, described the awards as a shared triumph for FEU. He emphasized that their department’s rigorous training in both production and on-air performance played a vital role in their success.
Both anchors also underscored the Department of Communication’s influence in strengthening their skills and instilling values essential to responsible communication. Their adviser likewise highlighted FEU’s commitment to producing communicators guided by empathy, purpose, and professionalism.
The FEU Campus Hour Season 12 delegation—composed of anchors, writers, producers, and technical staff—earned several other nominations, including Best Male Anchor, Audience Choice Award, Best Promotional Campaign, and Best Theme Song.
