FEU LAUNCHES IMMERSION PROGRAM ON MOBILITY IN SOUTH KOREA, VIETNAM
THROUGH its International Relations Office, the Far Eastern University recently launched the “TamBound: FEU Goes Global!”, a set of outbound mobility programs.
FEU said the program will be sending students to the Far East University in Chungcheong, South Korea, and FPT University in Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam this June.
Ven-Mar Cudog, the coordinator in charge of the outbound mobility program, said he had participated in such a program and shared the value of the experience.
“As an FEU alumnus, I hope my fellow Tamaraws recognize the long-term benefits of this short-term immersion program for their studies and future. Through such a program, I pursued my graduate studies with a scholarship at our partner university, Far East University, leading to eight years of valuable international exposure and growth in South Korea,” Cudog said.
The short-term immersion program with FPT University in Vietnam will happen from June 9 to 15.
It will allow FEU students to experience Vietnamese culture through workshops and classes on musical instruments, language, and martial arts, as well as tours of historical and cultural landmarks and tourist spots in Ho Chi Minh like Independence Palace, Cu Chi Tunnel, Nguyen Hue Walking Street, Mekong Delta, and Ben Thanh Street Food Market.
Meanwhile, the immersion program with Far East University in South Korea will include a guided tour of the FEU Korea campus, several cultural exchange activities and workshops, a Korean language and history class, a tour of Chungcheongbuk-do, and an excursion to Seoul.
FEU students who wish to participate in these outbound mobility programs will be considered eligible if they are:
• at least 18 years old;
• in possession of a valid passport;
