FEU, JPMC UNVEIL NEWLY BUILT NURSING SCHOOL IN BRUNEI

/ 9 September 2023

THE Far Eastern University and Jerudong Park Medical Center unveiled the school for nursing students they established in Brunei.

“It is an honor to have been asked by Jerudong Park Medical Center, the leading hospital in Brunei, to partner and establish together a nursing school,” FEU President Juan Miguel Montinola said.

“I am very proud of this partnership, as it is the first for FEU, and I believe the first for any Philippine school, to have its curriculum and faculty deployed abroad,” he added.

Last year, FEU and JPMC-CHS signed an agreement to establish the first health care learning institution of its kind in Brunei Darussalam.

Under the collaboration, JPMC-CHS will offer basic nursing programs beginning October 2022, with the intent of expanding into other fields of the health sciences.

FEU, meanwhile, will support the manpower requirements and will deploy instructors and lecturers each semester to Brunei based on the schedule of courses.

“Our school is brimming with potential and possibilities. We will continue to expand our programs and offerings, constantly adapting to the evolving needs of the healthcare industry,” JCHS Chief Executive Officer Chung Yea Fui was quoted as saying by James Kon of the Borneo Bulletin.

“We shall invest in state-of-the-art facilities, ensuring that our students have access to the best resources to enhance their learning experience,” JCHS Chief Executive Officer Chung Yea Fui is quoted by James Kon of the Borneo Bulletin to have said,” he added.
