/ 28 January 2024

THE Institute of Tourism and Hotel Management of Far Eastern University is considering entering into educational partnerships with schools and hotels overseas.

Top officials of FEU-ITHM conducted a four-day benchmarking and site visit in Batam, Indonesia, and Singapore.

Associate Dean John Lester Tuason and Associate Department Chair-Internship Carolina Roces led the delegation.

“The series of meetings is part of the strengthening of ITHM’s internationalization initiatives,” the school stated.

FEU stated that the meetings began with an inspection of the amenities and facilities at Harris Resort Barelang Batam Executives in Indonesia as part of the forthcoming Cultural Immersion Program.

Meanwhile, FEU officials also visited Batam Tourism Polytechnic, also in Indonesia, to discuss faculty and student exchange programs.

During the visit, they shared best practices in tourism program management, including faculty and student development, internationalization, and internships.

The FEU delegation also met with executives from Conrad Centennial and Hilton Orchard Hotel Singapore to discuss future collaborations for the international internship program.
