EXPANSION PHASE OF F2F CLASSES TO BE PUSHED IN UST
THE UNIVERSITY of Santo Tomas announced the expansion of limited face-to-face classes to other degree programs as the National Capital Region was placed under Alert Level 1 status.
UST said it would also resume retrofitting its facilities for physical classes and continue preparations for internships, practicum, and fieldwork.
“The expansion of limited F2F classes to more programs shall continue subject to the approval of the University Crisis Management Committee,” said Fr. Louie Coronel, UST secretary-general.
Coronel noted that ‘No Vax Card, No Entry‘ policy will remain to be enforced, adding only fully vaccinated students can participate in in-person activities.
He also encouraged students to get their booster shots for additional protection and anticipation of future health protocol requirements.
Similarly, a quarantine period of seven days will be required for all those who have history of international and local travel outside Metro Manila.
The university said those learners who will have their internship at the UST Hospital will be required to undergo RT-PCR screening.
Commission on Higher Education Chairman Prospero De Vera III earlier said he will meet with the Inter-Agency Task Force Against Covid19 to discuss directives on F2F classes under Alert Level 1.
CHED has allowed universities and colleges in areas under Alert Level 3 and below to hold limited in-person classes.
