THE EASTERN Samar State University will forge a partnership with the local government unit of Maydolong in the province for the establishment of a tuna processing facility.

ESSU officials on Friday inspected a possible site for the project in the municipality.

The university said the project intends to  help people affected by Typhoon Yolanda and those from low-income families from the municipality.

The project has an initial appraisal of P3 million.

ESSU also signed a memorandum of agreement with the Krida Wacana Christian University in Jakarta, Indonesia for an exchange student program.

Officials from both institutions held an online signing of the agreement on Thursday.
