MINDANAO  State University Marawi campus has announced that the College Entrance Test on August 30, 2020 will push through as scheduled.

“The CET 2020 Applicants/Takers from Marawi City, Lanao del Sur and those from other areas already in the campus are advised to come on time, and strictly follow health protocols,” MSU Marawi posted on its official Facebook page.

The university listed the following requirements before CET applicants can take the exam: school ID, examination permit, and medical certificate issued from place of origin. Those already in the campus can secure a medical certificate from the University Medical Services and Infirmary from August 26 to 28.

MSU Marawi, however, advised CET applicants residing in Luzon, Visayas, other areas in Mindanao, and overseas to watch for further announcements as community quarantine and travel restrictions are still in effect due to Covid19.

“We hope conditions improve and restrictions are lifted so you can take CET for Second Semester, AY 2020-2021,” the university stated.

The university also reiterated that strict health protocols such as wearing of face mask and face shield, observing physical distancing, and bringing of alcohol/sanitizer will be implemented during the examination day.

“Avoid the risks of Covid19! Let us help maintain MSU-Marawi a Covid-free university,” it added.

According to the report of the PIA of Lanao del Sur, the entire province recorded 248 cases of Covid19, 35 of which are active cases as of August 23. Of these, 14 cases are from Marawi City.

Marawi City was placed under modified general community quarantine despite local officials’ request to the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases to impose a stricter community quarantine to control the spread of the virus.
