DSSC, DTI COLLABORATE ON BUSINESS RECOVERY RESEARCH
THE DAVAO del Sur State College and Department of Trade and Industry are set to collaborate and help businesses recover through research.
Dubbed ‘Industry-Academe Collaboration on Innovation for Business Recovery and other Innovation-related Research & Development Programs’, the research aims to build the region’s innovation and entrepreneurial ecosystem.
It also aims to assist micro, small, and medium enterprises in priority sectors to address gaps and challenges in business after being hit by the Covid19 pandemic.
“…academe partners, like the DSSC, will be providing technical/research and business consultancy to identified MSMEs; lead in the formulation and/or drafting of the IBR Plan and other innovation-related R&D projects,” said DTI Davao del Sur.
Through the partnership, DSSC also becomes an official partner of DIT on its iSTRIKE: Innovation through Science, Technology, and Risk-resilient based initiatives toward Knowledge Economy Davao Regional Inclusive Center.
iSTRIKE aims to strengthen the collaboration of government agencies, industry, academe, media, and civil society organizations.
Officials from DSSC and DTI Davao del Sur held a signing of the memorandum of agreement on Thursday in Acacia Hotel, Davao City.
The signing is also part of the United States Agency for International Development-Science, Technology, Research and Innovation for Development’s Closeout Ceremony.
