DOSCST INKS PACT WITH DA ON SHRIMP PROJECT
THE DAVAO Oriental State College of Science and Technology and the Philippine Rural Development Project signed a memorandum of agreement to undertake a shrimp research project.
The PRDP, an attached agency of the Department of Agriculture, provided a P2-million support grant for the study titled “Vulnerability Assessment of Pacific Whiteleg Shrimp (Litopenaeus vannamei) and Associated Species through the Fisheries Value Chain: Enhancing Inclusivity through Social, Economic, Participation, and Sustainability.”
Officials from the two institutions attended the signing of the agreement.
The project will be led by Dr. Misael B. Clapano, Edison Roi D. Macusi, and Engr. France Guillian B. Rapiz.
The first phase of the project will be from June to December 2021.
The second phase will be from January to March 2022.
