THE Davao Oriental State University has secured funding from the Commission on Higher Education for its students.

Through the Congressional Office of Davao Second District Representative Cheeno Miguel Almario, DORSU secured a one-time grant of P25,000 for each scholar.

The fund came from the SMART-CHED Scholarship Grants.

“This effort aims to support students in pursuit of their academic dreams,” the university said.

“The scholarship program provides financial assistance to a select group of DORSU students, not only easing the financial burden but also highlighting the significance of public-private partnerships in promoting education,” it added.

The scholarship certificates were awarded to the scholars at Matiao National High School Activity Center over the weekend.

Several officials from the university, local government unit, and CHED attended the ceremony.
