DORSU RECEIVES 1-HECTARE LAND FOR RESEARCH FACILITY
THE DAVAO Oriental State University has received a land donation that will be used to establish a research facility and campsite.
The heirs of the Moran family donated a 1-hectare land located in San Isidro, Davao Oriental.
The deed of donation and a Memorandum of Agreement between the two parties were signed on Wednesday.
Under the MOA, DorSU agreed to help develop a 10-hectare agricultural land owned by the Moran family and turn it into an agri-ecotourism site.
“DorSU will provide agricultural and environmental technical assistance, as well as agricultural inputs, establish the area as technical training and learning site for farmers and fishermen,” the university said.
DorSU President Dr. Roy Ponce said that the project is “for the improvement of the community.”
