THE DEPARTMENT of Health approved the use of the main campus of Catanduanes State University to be a vaccination center in Bicol.

The school on Friday said its campus in Calatagan Proper, Virac has been accredited as the first university in the region to be converted into a vaccination center.

CatSU President Dr. Patrick Alain T. Azanza said the university was hailed as a ‘Model Vaccination Center’ by the evaluators.

“This is for every Catandunganon,” Azanza said.

A meeting was conducted between CatSU, DOH, Catanduanes Medical Society, and the Philippine Nurses Association, and other nurses for evaluation.

The school said the approval came after an evaluation of CatSU’s university gymnasium.
