THE DAVAO  del Norte State College on Wednesday held groundbreaking rites for the construction of its grandstand and wellness center.

It said that the Student Development Services, which will serve as a hub for student activities, will be built near the grandstand.

“The project also included flagpoles and cauldron, playing courts for tennis, sepak takraw, and volleyball, and a track and field oval. The area is set to become the hub for student activities,” DNSC said on Facebook.

The Wellness Center on the other hand will house offices like the Gender and Development, Faculty Association, General Administrative, Support Services Organization, Medical and Dental Clinic, Child Minding Room, Relaxation Room, Fitness Gym, Aerobics Room, Locker Room, Conference Hall, Entertainment Room, and Food Center.

Officials from DNSC and Jargon Construction and Supply attended the groundbreaking ceremony.

DNSC President Joy M. Sorrosa said that  infrastructure development is vital in catering to the needs of the students, faculty members, and personnel of the college.
