ENGINEERING students from De La Salle University emerged victorious in AutoMATHic 2024: A National Intercollegiate Mathematics Quiz Contest.

The prolific engineering students of De La Salle were Jan Joshua Cruz, Edric Castel Hao, and Mark Lawrence Velasco.

DLSU students bested other teams from more than 30 universities and colleges nationwide to clinch the title.

Faculty members Engr. Dino Dominic Ligutan and Engr. Jose Martin Maningo mentored the students, who served as their coaches.

Hosted by the University of the Philippines Civil Engineering Society, the national intercollegiate mathematics quiz was held last week at the University of the Philippines, Los Baños.

The competition aims to foster analytical and critical thinking skills by adapting elite-level mathematical concepts.
