ELECTRONICS and communication engineering students of the De La Salle University won in the Institute of Electronics Engineers of the Philippines-Manila Student Academic Festival.

The team of Sean Manuel Gutierrez, Rowell Andrew Kalalang and Chico Andre Olaguer were the first runner-up in the Mathematics Olympiad.

On the other hand, Christian Anabeza, Rocelle Andrea Belandres, Galvin Brice Lim, Keane Dwight Sulit, Alyssa Joie Tablada, and Mark Lawrence Velasco were the second runner-up in the Interscholastic Quiz Show.

Both MO and IQS teams will be representing the IECEP Manila Chapter in the national competition. The teams were coached by engineers Dino Dominic Ligutan and Jose Martin Maningo.

Themed “ECExpelliarmus!: Wizardry Battle to the Top,” the academic festival was hosted by the IECEP-MSC.

A total of 16 teams from different universities and colleges joined the festival.

IECEP-MSC is the accredited organization of Electronics Engineering students of Manila and Bulacan.
