DLSU STUDENTS FINALISTS IN 2023 FLOURISH PRIZES

STUDENTS from the De La Salle University were the finalists in the 2023 Flourish Prizes organized by the AIM2Flourish.

Master of Business Administration student Ruben Alvarez Jr. wrote “Greener Packaging for everyday life featuring Oikos PH in the Philippines”. It tackled UN Sustainable Development Goals No. 12, 14, and 16.

Grace Tiong, also an MBA major, authored “Your Affordable Home within the City featuring Citihub in the Philippines.” It discussed UN SDG No. 3,5, 8, 10, and 11.

Applied Corporate Management students Jason Alcalde, Sophia Marie Deverala, Andrea Denise Tan, and Joshua John Sison collaborated to produce “Bridging the Gap: Education and Future Generations featuring Edukasyon.ph in the Philippines.” It discussed UN SDG No. 3, 4, 5, 10, and 17.

Meanwhile, MBA student Melody Padilla wrote Climate Change Adaptation and Mitigation for the Present and Future Generation featuring Manila Water Company, Inc. It covered UN SDG No. 6, 9, 11, 10, and 14.

The students were mentored by Pia Manalastas of the Department of Management and Organization of the Ramon V. del Rosario College of Business.

AIM2Flourish is an initiative of the Fowler Center for Business as an Agent of World Benefit at the Weatherhead School of Management —Case Western Reserve University.

Using the UN SDGs as their lens, students research and identify a positive business innovation and interview a business leader about it. Their stories live on the AIM2Flourish.com platform as sources of inspiration for others.

The 2023 Flourish Prize Finalists include 78 stories from 32 universities in 25 countries written under the guidance of 35 different professors.

The winners will be announced at the Flourish Prizes Award Ceremony in June.
