A STUDENT from the De La Salle University Manila was among the top 10 global finalists in EY Young Tax Professional of the Year 2023 International Competition.

Trisha Huang, who is taking BS in Applied Economics Major in Financial Economics, bested other participants from various universities worldwide.

“Of the thirty-nine finalists representing 63 jurisdictions, the top 10 were selected to compete in the final round in London in March,” DLSU said.

The EY Young Tax Professional of the Year global competition offers participants insightful and engaging programming, allowing them to learn new skills, meet other young professionals, network with EY tax leaders around the world, challenge themselves and showcase their own talents.

The country winners will take part virtually in a host of practical, technical and social activities designed to make this phase an informative and fun experience for all.

The judges, which include partners of EY member firms and senior tax VPs from large multinationals, select the top 10 to compete in the final round of the global competition.

Three winners will be announced.
