A SENIOR High School student from the De La Salle University won awards in the 4th International Math Open for Young Achievers.

Guillermo was also the first runner-up in the team challenge category.

The three-day competition was held in Singapore last month.

Hosted by the Skillshare based in Singapore, the IMOYA engages students in a math exploratory activity that centers on relating math to the real world, making students active learners and giving them a sense of achievement.

It is open to students from the Middle Primary (Grades 3 and 4), Upper Primary (Grades 5 and 6), Junior High School (Grades 7 and 8), Intermediate Level (Grades 9 and 10) and Senior High School (Grades 11 and 12).
