A DE LA SALLE University official was recognized as the 2025 Outstanding Academic Librarian of the Year by the Philippine Association for Academic/Research Libraries (PAARL) during its 53rd General Assembly and Awarding Ceremony.

The national citation honors Director of Libraries Marian R. Eclevia for more than 20 years of service in higher education and her sustained contributions to advancing academic librarianship in the country.

PAARL highlighted her leadership in promoting evidence-based, learner-centered library services that strengthen research, instruction, and access to knowledge in academic institutions.

At DLSU, Eclevia has led initiatives to modernize library systems, expand digital and research support services, and position libraries as active partners in teaching and scholarship.

The university credited the award to her consistent commitment to service, professional excellence, and institutional leadership, which have elevated DLSU’s profile nationwide.
