THE De La Salle University is the best school for mathematics in the Philippines, according to the recent assessment of top universities by EduRank.

DLSU surpassed other higher education institutions in terms of its research performance in mathematics.

It also ranked 468th in Asia and 1,444th in the world for mathematics.

“A graph of 7.57K citations received by 1.81K academic papers made by 8 universities in the Philippines was used to calculate publications’ ratings, which then were adjusted for release dates and added to final scores,” EduRank said on its website.

The University of the Philippines-Diliman was the second top performing school for mathematics, while the Ateneo de Manila University was ranked third.

Other schools included in the top universities for mathematics are the Philippine Normal University, University of Santo Tomas, UP Los Baños, Technological Institute of the Philippines and Mindanao State University.

EduRank identified Manila, Quezon, Los Baños, and Marawi as the top cities for studying mathematics in the Philippines.

EduRank is an independent metric-based ranking of 14,131 universities from 183 countries. It uses proprietary database with an index of 44,909,300 scientific publications and 1,237,541,960 citations to rank universities across 246 research topics.
