DLSU LAW STUDENTS EMERGE 3RD RUNNER-UP IN NAT’L IP LAW QUIZ TILT
A THREE-STUDENT team from De La Salle University Tanada-Diokno School of Law grabbed the third runner-up honors in the national inter-school competition, IP (Intellectual Property) Circle League’s “The Quiz”, on October 26, 2023.
The team composed of Urika Loi Mendoza, Danielle Marie Bautista, and John Mari Emmanuel De Ocampo was included in the top five teams that achieved the highest scores to qualify for the preliminary round and in the final round, wherein the group finished fourth overall.
According to the university, the team’s achievement was because of their unwavering dedication and efforts in learning or mastering the Philippine Intellectual Property Laws with the help of their coach, Atty. Anthony Peralta.
As per DLSU, participating in these events helped the students deepen their understanding of IP laws while becoming familiar with the current events and issues in the IP field.
“The DLSU is proud of its students’ accomplishments and continues to encourage them to participate in co-curricular activities that promote holistic development, which will benefit their future legal careers,” the school added.
IP Circle League’s “The Quiz” was organized by the Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines and participated by over 30 students from various universities and colleges nationwide.
The competition aims to enrich the student’s knowledge about the scope of IP laws and the intellectual property system of the Philippines.
