DLSU GETS INT’L AWARD FOR SGD INITIATIVE

THE De La Salle University was named the first-runner up in the Sustainable Development Goals Initiative of the Year for Asia Pacific by the Accreditation for Entrepreneurial and Engaged Universities Triple E Awards.

The award recognizes an initiative that significantly differs from standard practice and has created exceptional results for achieving the UN SDGs.

The university was acknowledged for its efforts to localize UN SDGs.

“The Lasallian Social Enterprise for Economic Development Center developed the programs in localizing SDGs through community-led social entrepreneurship,” DLSU said.

“LSEED Center Director Norby Salonga, who received the award on behalf of DLSU, was also named the Entrepreneurship Educator of the Year,” it added.

The awarding ceremony was held last June 26 in Barcelona, Spain.

ACEEU is an international and the only body specializing in acknowledging and fostering entrepreneurial and engaged potential of universities on institutional and divisional levels.
