DLSU ESTABLISHES MENTAL HEALTH UNIT

/ 3 December 2020

THE DE LA SALLE University has put up a new unit to focus on mental health and provide a safe space for the members of its community.

“I am pleased to announce that the University is establishing a unit called the Lasallian Center for Inclusion, Diversity, and Well-being under the Office of the Vice President Lasallian Mision effective AY 2021-2022,” Vice President for Lasallian Mission Fritzie Ian De Vera said.

DLSU said the establishment of the center is in line with Republic Act 11313 or the Safe Spaces Act and Mental Health Act or Republic Act 11036.

The unit will propose and implement processes, programs and activities centered on inclusion, gender sensitivity, diversity, and well-being, in collaboration with other offices in DLSU.

“This will help ensure a learning and working environment that values the well-being, diversity, and dignity of persons in the community,” De Vera said.
