SENIOR high school students of De La Salle University Dasmariñas bagged bronze at the recently concluded FIRA 2023 RoboWorld Cup Philippine Preliminaries.

The group of Paul Khristian Marasigan, Edrich Lloyd Esguerra, and Juliet Janeal Aparici bested other participants from 28 competing schools.

SHS faculty member Jude Matthew Dominguiano served as coach of the team.

Following the feat, the students will be eligible to participate in the FIRARobo World Cup and Summit 2023 in Germany on July 4 to 10.

The Federation of International Robo Sports Association was founded by Prof. Jong-Hwan Kim of Korea Advanced Institute of Science & Technology in 1996, and considered as oldest intelligent robot soccer competition.

It aims to provide challenging and motivating benchmark problems for state of the art research in intelligent robotics; give senior students with valuable skills and experiences that allow them to be productive and develop their careers in the new economy; and to introduce junior students to the fundamentals of Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math topics.
